Gurgaon, 16 November, 2018: Walmart India, the wholly owned subsidiary of Walmart Stores Inc., has been recognized among “100 Best Companies for Women’ for the 2nd year in a row. The company has been featured in the list of 100 companies compiled by `The Working Mother and AVTAR Best Companies for Women in India Study 2018’ that was announced recently.
The study was conducted by “The Working Mother” and “AVTAR Best Companies for Women in India (BCWI)” to recognize the contributions of leading corporates in India towards building sustainable careers for women. The assessment methodology was strictly based on an applicant company’s robust policy framework towards women’s career enablement which is recorded and sought in an application form spanning 400+ policy specific, data oriented questions. Every application was scored on policy impact on seven key policy clusters namely Workforce Profile, Women’s Recruitment, Retention & Advancement, Flexible Work, Safety & Security, Parental Leave, Benefits & Work-Life Programs & Company Culture & Management Accountability.
